Family Reading Night, a statewide event sponsored by Secretary of State, Jesse White and the Illinois Center for The Book, is an annual event that encourages families to spend quality time reading together.
This year’s event is on Nov. 16. Stop by the Youth Services desk between Nov. 1 and 15 to pick up supplies to make your Family Reading Night special. While supplies last, participating families will receive a bag filled with popcorn and hot chocolate to make, and a book to share. Then, on Nov. 16, take time to read together as a family. (Limit 1 bag and book per family.)
